Tsavo East National Park

Tsavo East National Park is one of Kenya’s oldest and largest parks, famous for its vast landscapes and the red-dust-coated elephants. The park is divided by the Galana River and is characterized by open plains, semi-arid grasslands, and acacia scrub.

Things to do and see:

  • Game drives to see large herds of elephants, lions, leopards, and other wildlife.
  • Visit the Lugard Falls and the Yatta Plateau, the world’s longest lava flow.
  • Bird watching for species such as the African skimmer and golden-breasted starling.
  • Explore the Aruba Dam, which attracts a variety of wildlife.
